It's been a busy month at Conference Keeper!

Among the hundreds of updates in the last 60 days, I am pleased to announce the addition of a brand new feature: the CK Speaker's Directory!

In order to grow within the mission of the site, not only should we as a community be able to find nearby events or major conferences to attend easily; we should also be able to find genealogy speakers easily!  Therefore, the CK Speaker's Directory has been created. The Directory will be available live on this site very soon!

I know there are other options out there, such as the Genealogical Speakers Guild (http://www.genealogicalspeakersguild.org/), who already provide a similar service. During the planning stages, I had many conversations with both speakers and society planners, and nearly all suggested a system that would greatly improve their coordination efforts: the ability to search by presentation topic.

So, that is just one thing that the CK Speaker's Directory will offer. Anyone listed in the Directory will be categorized by name, geographic location and topic. Categories include: DNA, Researching the Forbidden, Social Media and Blogging. I am excited to already have speakers listed in Ohio, Indiana, and of course, Colorado (that's me!).

The Directory will be FREE to search. Always.

And, as always, submit your genealogy event via our Event Submission page. I will post any genealogy or family history related activity that is outside of the standard society meetings. When you submit, I need very little information: name of the event, date, location (city/state) and a link to a website. That's it!

To be listed in the CK Speaker's Directory, please contact me for more information.

I tried to click on the link to contact you, but I guess this is the way to do it. I would love to be included on the speaker's list!

That's great, Peggy! Can you send me an email at [email protected], so we can discuss the Directory one on one? Thanks so much!
